The heavens rise waking me
Tears gloss my eyes
My lips tremble as the world
Becomes too vivid and reality
Shines unkindly in the mellow sky
The unbearable feeling goes numb
And my day begins
You fade in to my memories of yesterday
Moment after moment I forget you
Allowing the events of the day
To keep me abstracted from reality
But the day passes in a glimpse
A terrifying moon rises
Lulling me in to a restless sleep
My desires are revealed
Leaving me venerable
As I close my eyes
You are my last thought
And my heart flutters in a listless haze
I smile as my dreams give me you
Your soft eyes tell me you’ll never leave
Your gentle hands caress me soundly
Your voice gives me a comfort
Only my dreams can offer
I awaken in tears once more
Forgetting you desperately
